MANILA (UPDATED) - Philippine National Police Director General Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa has berated a police officer who was arrested during an alleged drug session in Las Piñas City early Thursday.

An irate Dela Rosa confronted Police Supt. Lito Cabamongan of the PNP Crime Laboratory who was arrested together with a female companion inside a house in Las Piñas village.

"Sabog ka?... Hindi ka nagshashabu ah? Pag nag-positive ka, p*******a ka, patay ka sakin ha," Dela Rosa told the cop who was already behind bars.

(Are you high? You're not using shabu? If you test positive, you're dead to me.)

Cabamongan said he was working under cover when he was arrested. He said he was setting up a sting operation against a fellow cop.

Dela Rosa said he was disappointed at Cabamongan's arrest but noted that it was part of the PNP's internal cleansing program.
