Japanese man nabbed in Cebu for having sex with minor

CEBU - A Japanese national accused of molesting a minor was arrested in an entrapment operation in Mandaue City on Thursday, authorities said.

The suspect, hotel manager Takeshi Kon, was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl inside his car, said Superintendent Joyena Garma, one of the investigators on the case.

Authorities claimed Kon contacted the girl early Thursday, asking her to meet him at a mall. This enabled police to set up the entrapment.

Kon has been living in Cebu for 15 years and was accused of similar offenses.
