Senate President Koko Pimentel had to escort Alvarez and Fariñas after they arrived late for the confirmation hearing.

Senator Gringo Honasan, who chaired the panel, called their attention on this.

"Supposed the enemy is on time. Nakakahiya naman sa kalaban. And you are wearing the uniform," said Honasan, stressing he and Senator Panfilo Lacson arrived hours before the hearing.

But after this, Honasan requested for "any derogatory statement" he may have made during the session to be stricken off the records of the CA.

Aside from the lawmakers, the CA also confirmed the appointments of military officials Major General Rene Glen Paje and Army reservist Col. Marlyn Agabas.--report from Sherrie Ann Torres, ABS-CBN News
