DAVAO CITY - Plano ng mga konsehal na lumipat ng partido Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) na binuo ni Mayor Sara Duterte mula Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).

Ayon kay Councilor Bonifacio Militar, pipirmahan ng mga konsehal na miyembro ng lokal na Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod, na binuo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, ang isang resolusyon at depende kay Mayor Sara kung tatanggapin niya ito.

Desidido umano ang mga konsehal na magresign sa kanilang partidong PDP-Laban at ibigay ang kanilang buong suporta sa HNP.

“All we have to do is resign from our previous party and signify our support to Hugpong ng Pagbabago,” ani Militar.

Inaasahan ng mga konsehal na umpisa pa lamang ito ng pagbabago kung saan posibleng marami pang mga politiko sa Mindanao ang sasali sa HNP.

“We give our unwavering support to our city mayor. She has done well for the city of Davao. She has been a good model for new politics. Dapat sa admin ni Duterte, hindi tayo maging trapo,” ani Councilor Diosdado Mahipus.

“While we were sworn into PDP but if the political configuration would change, I think I'm more inclined to support Mayor Inday Sara Duterte in her Hugpong,” ani Councilor Pilar Braga.

Ayon sa kanila, mas mabuti kung gagawin itong national party upang magkaisa ang lahat ng mga supporters ni Pangulong Duterte.
