SURIGAO CITY - Hundreds of residents from the villages of Sabang, Taft, San Juan and Washington fled their homes after Surigao City was jolted by a magnitude 6.7 earthquake Friday evening.

According to Jonal Dalona, a geologist from the Mines and Geosciences Bureao in Caraga, there is no tsunami warning since the center of the earthquake stuck at a land mass and not at sea.
