Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II revealed on Tuesday that at least two senators allied with former Justice Secretary and now Senator Leila De Lima want to offer legislative immunity to two sacked immigration officials in exchange for linking him to the P50-million bribery/extortion scandal involving the camp of gambling tycoon Jack Lam.

Aguirre accused Senators Francis Pangilinan and Antonio Trillanes IV of being behind the move, and uttered strong words against them and De Lima.

"Wala na magawa mga dilawan na yan, mga g*gong senador," the justice chief said.

He added the two male lawmakers want to get back at him because of the drug cases against De Lima in connection with the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) illegal drug trade.

Aguirre stressed that had he had any involvement in the scandal involving dismissed Bureau of Immigration (BI) Associate Commissioners Al Argosino and Michael Robles, he would not have divulged a bribery attempt made by Lam's camp on him.

During a Senate probe on the scandal on Monday, Trillanes raised the possibility that Aguirre may have also been interested in the multi-million peso bribe Lam was allegedly offering government officials, pointing out that it was Aguirre who instructed Argosino to deal with Lam's camp on certain concerns.

The P50-million payout, caught on CCTV camera, was supposedly for the release of 1,316 illegal Chinese workers at Lam's Fontana Leisure Park in Pampanga.
