MANILA - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Thursday called on the public to disregard text messages warning about bombs allegedly planted in malls in Metro Manila.

"The Armed Forces of the Philippines reminds the public to disregard text messages warning of bomb threats or improvised explosive devices (IEDs) allegedly planted in major shopping malls in NCR (National Capital Region)," it said in a statement.
