MANILA - A trailer wing van caught fire along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City early Sunday.

A motorbike rider informed driver Manny Segundo that smoke was coming from the van's rear portion at past 5:30 a.m.

Segundo stopped the truck in front of the Ateneo de Manila University campus and discovered that flames have engulfed their cargament.

The driver and two porters of Leavilla Trucking escaped the incident unscathed.

Authorities are still investigating what caused the fire but the driver suspects it was caused by the van's electrical wiring.
