MANILA - How much did incoming Senator Manny Pacquiao and losing vice-presidential bet Antonio Trillanes IV spend in the 2016 elections?

In his statement of contributions and expenditures (SOCE) submitted Wednesday, Pacquiao said he spent P66,428,468 of his personal funds for his campaign. He received no contributions during the campaign period.

Pacquiao, the eight-time world boxing champion, ran under the United Nationalist Alliance ticket and placed 7th in the senatorial race with over 16 million votes.

On the other hand, Trillanes said he received P61.1 million in contributions while spending P61.8 million for the campaign.

Trillanes also spent P736,569 of his personal funds for his campaign, according to his SOCE.

The senator placed 5th in the vice-presidential election, with Liberal Party bet Leni Robredo winning the race.
