MANILA - Outgoing Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Chief Sonny Coloma wishes his successor, television news anchor Martin Andanar, well.

In a statement on Friday, Coloma said he is ready to assist Andanar to ensure a smooth transition.

"I wish him all the best! I am prepared to assist him in terms of ensuring a smooth transition," Coloma said.

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte, who is due to take office on June 30, on Thursday named Andanar as his PCCO chief.

Under the PCOO are government information agencies such as PTV4, Philippine Information Agency, and Radyo ng Bayan.
