MANILA - After almost three decades, Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder and National Democratic Front political consultant Jose Maria Sison will be returning to the Philippines.
MANILA - After almost three decades, Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder and National Democratic Front political consultant Jose Maria Sison will be returning to the Philippines.
Sison has set June to August as his tentative return to the Philippines from exile but on the condition that all political prisoners be released, a ceasefire between the New People's Army and the government would be in place, and that the peace process is already rolling.

Sison made the announcement during an NDFP press conference via Skype in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte earlier announced that Sison is coming home, telling his former professor to wait until he is sworn into office before he could give him a letter to come over.
