MANILA - Senator Cynthia Villar, wife of former Senate president Manny Villar, is still the country's richest senator with a net worth of 3.5 billion pesos, based on her 2015 statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).

Villar's assets include 4.5 million pesos worth of real estate, 3.49 billion worth of stocks and other real and personal properties while she has zero liability.

Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero is the "poorest" among the senators with a net worth of 5.84 million pesos, according to his 2015 SALN.
Sen. Antonio Trillanes is not far ahead with a net worth of 5.98 million pesos.

A far second from Villar is Sen. Ralph Recto with 531 million pesos, followed by Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. with 211 million pesos.
