MANILA – San Miguel Corp. on Thursday denied giving P500 million to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, saying the check, a photo of which is now making the rounds on social media, is fake.

Trillanes recently accused Duterte of not declaring P211 million in his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth. The money is supposedly contained in an account in a branch of BPI along Julia Vargas Avenue in Pasig City.

Duterte's camp initially denied the existence of the bank account. However, the mayor eventually admitted on Thursday that he has two BPI accounts but these only contain P50,000 and P17,000 each.
