MANILA – Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach had the opportunity to meet one of her possible successors, the winner of this year’s Miss Ecuador pageant.

In a post on the Miss Universe Instagram page, Wurtzbach described Miss Ecuador 2016 Connie Jimenez as a “stunner.”

“Your Miss Ecuador 2016 is definitely a stunner! You should be proud, Ecuadorians. Very well-rounded and a great personality to match. See you in Miss Universe, Connie!” the Filipina beauty queen wrote.

Wurtzbach met Jimenez during a fundraising dinner for the children of Ecuador. Prior to this, the reigning Miss Universe handed out relief packs to quake victims.

Wurtzbach is now back in New York, where the Miss Universe Organization is based.

Aside from Jimenez, Wurtzbach was able to meet two other Miss Universe 2016 hopefuls – the Philippines’ Maxine Medina and Valeria Piazza of Peru.
