MANILA – Following her short trip to the Philippines to pass on her Binibining Pilipinas crown to her successor Maxine Medina, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is now in Peru, her first visit to a South American country.

According to the official Instagram page of the Miss Peru Organization, Wurtzbach is a special guest and judge in its annual beauty competition.

In the official Miss Universe page, Wurtzbach congratulated Valeria Piazza for winning this year’s Miss Peru pageant.

“Well deserved! She's so humble and genuine. Stay sweet! See you at Miss Universe,” she wrote in the caption of their photo together.

Wurtzbach also had a good time in Peru as she was able to try their delicacies. She also went to see the popular Bridge of Sighs in Barranco, Lima.

In an interview, Wurtzbach vowed to return to the South American country so she could visit more of tourist spots.
