MANILA – Pia Wurtzbach is set to visit Ecuador, which was hit by a powerful earthquake last April, as part of her duties as the reigning Miss Universe.

Wurtzbach made the announcement on her personal Instagram page on Monday.

“See you soon, Ecuador,” she wrote.

Two weeks ago, Wurtzbach hinted on Instagram that they are “planning something very special” for her next trip, with the Filipina beauty queen hoping that it will push through.

Last month, Wurtzbach visited Peru to judge its annual beauty pageant. She mentioned that a “possible Ecuador trip” is in the works.
