MANILA - In "Finding Sebastian," a video posted on Facebook on Monday, Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, the youngest son of presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte, ate his lunch while sitting on a sidewalk.

He was dressed in a loose, white sando and shorts. His hair was unkempt. And his friends kept harping on him to greet his thousands of fans on Facebook watching the live feed.

Baste would sometimes indulge them with a reluctant smile and a quick wave of the hand. He would also throw winks and blow kisses. But most of the time, he would look down on his phone and shy away from the camera.

He doesn't seem to have the confidence his father has when thousands of eyes are on him. In one of his interviews, he openly admitted that he found the crowds at his father's campaign trail to be overwhelming, and that he would love to stay in Davao even if his father assumes the presidency.

But his shy and quiet demeanor are all part of his disarming charm opposite the brusque quality of his father. Of course, it also helps to have a voice that one can easily build a rock band around with. A video of him singing Incubus' "Drive" has more than 250,000 views less than a day after it was uploaded.

Baste also seems to have a sense of humor. He takes in stride marriage proposals from fans and happily replies to hundreds of comments with quips and "emojis."

He told one of his fans asking for his hand in marriage that he is not yet ready to settle down. That could well be his answer also should he be asked if he is ready for the spotlight that comes with being the son of the most powerful man in the country.
