Isabelle Duterte, President Rodrigo Duterte's granddaughter, is about to turn 18 and she had teaser photos taken inside Malacañang Palace.

In photos posted on Instagram, Isabelle could be seen donning several different dresses including a red ball gown by Dubai-based couturier Garimon Roferos.

According to the captions, her glam team included celebrity stylist Jeff Galang, make-up artist Winn Ramos, and hairstylist Frankie Bacierto, while official pictures were taken by photographer Lito Sy.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Friday confirmed that Isabelle had her photos taken around the Palace grounds, adding that there was nothing wrong in doing so.

Roque said the President is entitled to live in Malacañang but he opted not to.

"Siguro namn yung mga kamag-anak niya lalo na ang kanyang apo ay pwede namang magpapicture picture sa Malacañang," he told reporters.

"I don't think it should be an issue. Gaya sila ng mga ordinaryong mga mamamayan na pwedeng magpicture sa Malacañang," he said.

Roque said, however, that he does not know if the request for the shoot was requested by the Vice Mayor, but he emphasized that "they already opted not to live in the Palace."

"Kung ginusto nila pwede silang tumira doon, hindi na nila ginawa iyon, wag na nating ipagkait ang photo opportunity sa loob ng Palasyo," he said.

Weeks ago, actor Robin Padilla, a staunch supporter of the President, also celebrated his birthday at the Malago Clubhouse inside the compound.

Noting that the government did not pay for Padilla's party, Roque said if the family wanted the President to attend, they really had to do it in the clubhouse.

"Kung gusto nilang maimbatahan ang presidente dapat gawin sa Malago dahil ayaw ng presidente ng ma-traffic. Ayaw na lang talagang lumalabas ng presidente sa mga social events," he said.
