Actor and Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez was given the Bench Icon Award for his loyalty as the brand's ambassador at Bench's Christmas party Sunday.

Gomez posted photos of his award, as well as a photo from his iconic TV commercial for Bench.

Gomez has been a brand ambassador for Bench since 1989. He starred in Bench's first television commercial.

The commercial, which shows Gomez rowing a boat with Debussy's "Claire De Lune" playing in the background, won Best in Cinematography at the 12th Advertising Congress - Araw Awards in 1990.
