MANILA -- A museum showcasing vehicles used by past Philippine presidents officially opened Sunday at the Quezon Memorial Circle.

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista led the inauguration of the new Presidential Car Museum, which features 16 vehicles, including those used by the country's former presidents.

It also has a special section for vehicles used by former first lady Imelda Marcos, General Douglas MacArthur and even a kalesa used by Leon Apacible, one of the authors of the 1899 Constitution in Malolos.

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) launched the museum to showcase the cars and the history behind them.

Museum visitors are guided by plaques narrating the various state functions where these cars were used.
