In a series of Instagram posts over the weekend, Tiu asked his followers to join his family in welcoming their six-week-old baby, Amanda, into the Catholic faith.

“Overjoyed that our baby Amanda has been baptized at six weeks. Can’t wait to share with her the beauty of our Catholic faith. Thank you, Ninongs and Ninangs, for accepting your role as her guardians and role models,” Tiu wrote in one of his posts.

The ceremony was followed by a Spanish-themed reception organized by Tiu’s “chef-auntie,” Happy Ongpauco-Tiu of Pamana restaurant fame.

Tiu and his wife Ong welcomed their first child last June 5. The two got married in Vancouver, Canada in September 2013.
