MANILA – Family members of Gabriel “Bong” Daza are overwhelmed by the support they have received following the death of the food entrepreneur and former Makati City councilor.

In a message sent to ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual, the Dazas thanked “everyone who sent their condolences and sympathies.”

“We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and kindness people have shown. Bong loved life and lived a full life. He will be missed. From the family: Gloria, Rafael, Isabelle and Ava and Daza siblings: Sandy, Mariles, Stella and Nina,” the message read.

Actress Isabelle Daza announced in an Instagram post on Thursday that Bong, her father, has passed away.

The Daza family is holding a one-day wake for Bong this Friday, July 15, at Santuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati.

Interment will be held on July 16 at around 9 p.m. beside the crypt of Daza matriarch Nora Daza, also at Santuario de San Antonio.
