MANILA – A hotel lounge in Makati lets you raise your glass in celebration of World Gin Day this Saturday, June 9.

Discovery Primea’s Gilarmi Lounge will showcase a collection of gin labels and tonics from the local distributor Premium Wines & Spirits at P1,000++ from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Guests can sit comfortably as bartenders wheel out the gin trolley and serve guests their choice of drinks tableside.

Expert mixologist Icy Marinas will give a taste of her featured cocktails during her guest shift at the bar from 9 p.m. to 12 midnight as part of the lounge’s collaboration with Drink Manila. Discovery Primea and 8! Botanicals will treat guests to tokens during the night.

The festivities will continue on June 16 as Gilarmi Lounge features Bombay Sapphire, one of the world’s most famous gin labels. Guests may enjoy unlimited gin-based drinks using Bombay Sapphire for P450++, or order cocktails whipped up by guest bartender Nino Jayson Cruz.

On June 27, Discovery Primea will offer a selection of gins and tonics from the local distributor Don Revy such as J. J. Whitley, Whitley Neill, and Slipsmith. Live jazz will set the mood at the lounge during the evening.

The last installment of the hotel’s Gin Month activities will be held on June 30. There will be a botanical painting workshop led by master crafter Alessa Lanot of Life After Breakfast at P1,300++ per person, with participants to be served cocktails infused with gin labels from Don Revy.

Located at the ground floor of Discovery Primea, Gilarmi Lounge has over 70 gin labels as well as a wide array of tonics, bitters, and garnishes.

If one drink is not enough, guests may opt to enjoy free-flowing gins and tonics from The Gin Library offered daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Drinks are tiered at different price points starting at P550++ for standard bottles, P800++ for premium labels, and P1,300++ for deluxe brands.
