Considering how beloved and influential the Eraserheads are, those behind the forthcoming musical about the band's songs knew they had a lot of work to do.

Needless to say, expectations are high ahead of its opening this July, with many fans genuinely curious about how they would instill the songs with a theatrical twist.

Their answer to all this talk was to release a recording music video this Thursday of the cast singing "Ang Huling El Bimbo," Eraserheads' ubiquitous ballad.

The musical's story is said to revolve around friends who drifted apart and reunite two decades later.

It stars Topper Fabregas, OJ Mariano, Tanya Manalang, Reb Atadero, Boo Gabunada, Gian Magdangal, and Jon Santos, among others.

"Ang Huling El Bimbo" will open on July 20 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila.
