MANILA -- She's part of the glitzy and glamorous showbiz industry.

But in her downtime, Sam Pinto prefers a low-key beach outing where she can relax away from the limelight and catch a few waves or two.

In an interview with Pep, Pinto admitted that she has found a new hobby to obsess over: surfing. She told the website that she loves it so much that she decided to put up a small beach resort in Baler, Aurora -- her favorite place to go surfing.

"I fell in love with surfing so much," she said, before sharing how she came with the idea for her new pet project. "It started out that I just wanted a house in Baler. It became 3.5 hectares and I was like, 'Why not make money out of it?'"

"So I built a resort, walang magawa ano?" she quipped.

Pinto dubbed it L'Sirene: A Boutique Resort, a 15-room resort that promises to be a cozy little haven for Baler regulars. Check out the photos below:
