On Sunday, Gravity Co. Ltd., which originally created Ragnarok Online, announced that the hit online game will be coming back to the Philippines soon.

This comes after Ragnarok Online enjoyed a successful “renaissance” in Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia just recently.

Ragnarok Online was first launched in the Philippines in 2003. The game was welcomed by gamers nationwide with almost 10 million accumulated users. A few years ago, RO closed down its servers in the country.

As part of the relaunch, Yoshinori said Gravity and its partner, Electronics Extreme, will work on “potential plans to develop new content specifically for the Filipino users.”

With what the companies have been doing leading up to the official relaunch, Electronics Extreme COO Rithirong Kaewvicheara promised that this new version of Ragnarok Online will be the best one.
