DAVAO CITY - Children and adults here came to see a new batch of baby turtles enter their real world, the ocean.
A total of 159 hatchlings were released to the sea at Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, a go-to tourist destination.
"They're cute. I wish that they don't die," 9-year old Johanna Teh said.
The hatchlings were Hawksbill sea turtles which are already considered endangered.
This is the fourth batch of sea turtles released this year, while over 2,500 baby turtles have been released since 2014.
