The Hundred Islands in Alaminos, Pangasinan is still one of the most famous destinations in the province.

A cluster of rock and land formations jutting from the sea, this is a favorite swimming spot for vacationers.

Visitors can appreciate the peculiar mushroom-like shape of these islands made by the eroding effect of the waves of sea water, as the clusters of islands were believed to have been part of the bottom of a deeper ocean that had been exposed through time because of movements on the continent.

One popular way of getting to see the sights is to go island-hopping. Visitors hire a boat for the day and make their way through channels and openings between islands to look for a good spot to swim in a cove provided by the islands. You can swim, snorkel, ride zip lines and hop to another island. Some bigger islands have small rest houses that can be rented to visitors.

There are more than 120 islands here covering over a thousand plus hectares of blue green sea.

The Hundred Islands in Pangasinan comprises more than 100 small land outcrops along the coast of this province.
