Their songs defined the 1990s. Now, more than a decade and a half later, Filipino fans will get to see just how the Eraserheads' best hits will play out in a theater.

The Full House Theater Company has announced the premiere date for their new original musical "Ang Huling El Bimbo," named after one of the band's most well-known songs.

The first show is scheduled on July 20 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.

While no details about the musical has been revealed, the musical is intended to include over 40 Eraserheads' songs.

"It's gonna be a nice nostalgic feeling for the people who have learned to love it," explained director Dexter Santos.

"It's a beautiful introduction for the millennials and for the young theatergoers to their music," he added.

The script is being written by Dingdong Novenario, who believes that the band's catalogue meant a lot for many Filipinos.

"Whether it's at one very low point in your life, or when you're in love --it's always there, reflecting how you feel," he said.
