Multihyphenate Liz Uy is a showbiz staple, not as a star oncam, but as one of the most sought-after stylists in the business.

She's also an author, editor, and the creative director of her own styling company -- but none of those compare in terms of fulfillment to her latest personal milestone, that of being a mother.

Uy, 36, introduced last week her son, Xavi, with an Instagram photo only captioned with a heart emoji. She confirmed that she is a new mom in a Preview interview online, saying, "I don't really think only of myself anymore."

Over the weekend, Uy made her first public appearance since the big news -- quite aptly at the baby shower of a close friend, model-actress Isabelle Daza, who's expecting her first child with her husband Adrien Semblat.

On the sidelines of the Spartan race-inspired event, Uy spoke with ABS-CBN News' Gretchen Fullido on how she feels about being a first-time mother. "It's, I think, the most... the best accomplishment I've done ever in my life," she said.

She credited regular sessions of yoga and Pilates throughout the pregnancy for maintaining her lithe frame after giving birth.

Uy, however, preferred to keep mum on the timing of her deicision to introduce Xavi, as well as other details of her pregnancy. She did say, however, that she isn't bothered by the flood of comments on social media about her recent revelation.

"For me, that's my page naman, I can say and do whatever I want," she said, referring to her Instagram post. "Bahala sila whatever they want to think din. I'm not naman answerable to anyone."
