After months of meticulous preparation, the well-crafted flower floats of this year’s Panagbenga finally set the Summer Capital abloom during the Grand Float Parade on Sunday.

Featuring a kaleidoscope of colors merged with intricate designs, the floats stunned festival-goers from different parts of the country and abroad.

Millennials, who comprised a large chunk of the crowd, were equipped with smartphones with towering selfie sticks. No wonder why Panagbenga is one of the top trending topics on social media today.

Although the sun wasn’t up until 9 a.m., the floats still shined bright. Festive music from different live bands complemented the crowd’s “wows” each time a float carrying actors and other VIPs passed by.

Bea Alonzo and Enchong Dee of “A Love To Last” drew loud cheers from fans; some even took the risk of climbing barriers just to get a better view of the Kapamilya actors.

Beauty queen Kylie Versoza, actor Jericho Rosales, and PBA star Asi Taulava were also part of the parade.

But, more than these celebrities, Panagbenga's floats featured the meticulous craftsmanship of Cordillera florists, who worked for several days to make sure every hue is at the right spot.
