MANILA -- Money can't buy you love -- but that doesn't mean you shouldn't splurge on your special someone, especially during Valentine's Day.

The metro's top hotels have come up with several ways to mark Valentine's Day with dinners inspired by the sexy "Fifty Shades of Grey" series to lavish buffets.

Here are some of fancy options to celebrate Valentine's Day. These are not endorsed by ABS-CBN News.

1. AG NEW WORLD MANILA BAY HOTEL

Celebrate Valentine's Day with a romantic dinner at the Poolside. The special five-course set menu, a bottle of sparkling wine and a special gift for the lady. Available at P9,000 per couple.

THe Fireplace serves a five-course dinner featuring soft-shell crab, white asparagus, Angus tenderloin, foie gras and pralines at P3,800 inclusive of a glass of Freixenet Cava. (You can get a bottle for an additional P800.)

If you prefer a buffet, Market Cafe has rates starting at P2,200 for lunch and P2,800 for dinner with wine and a special gift for the ladies.

2. CRIMSON HOTEL FILINVEST CITY, MANIA

The Alabang hotel sets the stage for a romantic evening with a 5-course dinner at its al fresco Deck. The his and hers menu is priced at P5,200++ for two persons with complimentary glasses of wine and pralines. In addition, the hotel is throwing in a raffle contest for a chance to win an overnight stay.

You can also choose a special afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge, which includes mini red rose rolls of prawn Marie rose and focaccia croute with salmon and dill, raspberry macarons, and red velvet mini cupcake. The rate for two persons is P685++.

3. DIAMOND HOTEL PHILIPPINES

Yurakuen Restaurant serves an intimate Japanese feast from February 10 to 14 with its Ai Ni Kotaeru White Day (Answer Love on White Day) dinner set menu priced at P2,880 nett per person.

The Poolside, meanwhile, is the romantic setting for an al fresco dinner on February 13 and 14. Celebrate your love with a five-course dinner set menu for P2,800 nett per person.

Couples who dine at Corniche Restaurant for P3,180 nett per person get a free glass of rose wine and are serenaded by a quartet.

Over the Lobby Lounge, surprise your date with an intimate dinner with a glass of Cava on the side priced at Ph1,600 nett per person, while liseting to saxophone renditions of popular love songs.

Stretch the celebration at Bar 27 with its Just the Two of Us platter of tapas paired with a cocktail drink for P2,400 nett per person.

All ladies dining on February 14 will receive a Valentine memento.

4. F1 HOTEL MANILA

Get serenaded on Valentine’s Day while enjoying a buffet feast for P2,288 nett per person at the “Flavors of Love” Valentine concert at F All-Day Dining Restaurant. Add P200 for unlimited red or white wine to make the night even more special.

5. HOTEL JEN MANILA

Take your date for a dinner buffet at Latitude for P1,600 nett per person. Enjoy a live musical entertainment and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine per person when you dine on February 14.

For a more cozy time together, spend the at Windows by the Bay. Enjoy the view of the city over two glasses of wine and the chef’s sampler platter for P1,200 nett good for two persons.

6. MANILA PAVILION HOTEL

Treat your special someone on a romantic dinner buffet date with an acoustic live serenade and a special giveaway for the ladies at P1,200 per person.

You can also gift her with this month’s featured cake, the Strawberry L’Opera, available at Patisserie.

7. MARCO POLO ORTIGAS MANILA

Cucina elevates its live action stations on February 14, especially the Seafood Station. Enjoy this for P2,888 per person with special Valentine cocktails sold separately.

Over at Vu’s Sky Bar and Lounge, enjoy a tapas buffet while being serenaded by HIWAY 54 Band on Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s cake, chocolate hearts, pralines, and strawberry tarts are available for gifts at Café Pronto.

8. MARRIOTT MANILA

Marriott Manila takes inspiration from the best-selling "Fifty Shades of Grey" series for the hotel's Valentine specials.

Go on a date under the stars at the hotel’s rooftop pool bar, The Deck, for P3,500++ and enjoy a 5-course dinner with a cityscape view as your backdrop.

Go for old-fashioned romance at Cru Steakhouse, which is a favorite choice of couples for the U.S. Certified Angus beef in different cuts, salads with organic vegetables and locally sourced seafood.

There is also the buffet spread at Marriott Café, which has created a tempting “Red Room” filled with chocolates, moist cakes, cookies, eclairs and macarons. Buffet prices are P2,100 nett on lunch and P2,800 on dinner.

9. THE PENINSULA MANILA

Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to express love and affection this year. Spend a romantic evening this February 14 with your special someone over a seafood dinner buffet at Escolta (with a glass of Champagne), a slow roasted Angus beef tenderloin at The Lobby or an intimate five-course dinner at Old Manila.

10. SOFITEL PHILIPPINE PLAZA MANILA

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a romantic dinner underneath Sunset Bar’s private canopies with the Manila Bay as your backdrop, with the 4-course meal served by a butler.

Rate is set at P30,000 nett for an intimate dinner for two, inclusive of one bottle of champagne, a box of pralines, three roses for your special someone and a live performance by a violinist.
