MANILA – Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez is proud of her successor, Andrea Tovar, who finished second runner-up in the 65th Miss Universe held in Manila on Monday.

“We’re very proud of you, Colombia!” Gutierrez, who won first runner-up in the previous edition of Miss Universe, wrote in Spanish in her latest Instagram post.

Gutierrez was mistakenly proclaimed Miss Universe in December 2015 by host Steve Harvey, who eventually returned on stage to apologize and say that Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines is the real winner.

This prompted outrage from Colombians, with Gutierrez saying that her dreams were destroyed “in four minutes.”

Showing that she has since moved on from the incident, Gutierrez shared a photo of her hugging Wurtzbach in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant with the caption: “Spread love, not hate.”

In another post, however, Gutierrez could not help but tease Harvey, saying: “I’m watching you!”
