Wearing her sash and crown, Mrs. Grandma Universe 2017 Agnes Jakosalem was greeted by her family when she arrived at the Mactan Cebu International Airport on Sunday night.

The 51-year-old grandma stood out among 14 other grandma candidates from other countries during the Mrs. Grandma Universe Pageant last January 22,2017 (Philippine Time) in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Jakosalem has three children and one grandchild.

According to Jakosalem, she still cannot believe her triumph. It was the first beauty contest she has ever joined in her entire life.

She had no experience being a beauty contestant before she joined Mrs. Grandma Universe.

Jakosalem added, the only weapon she brought during the pageant to win the crown was her confidence and her pride in being a Filipino.

Jakosalem is the first Filipino to win Mrs. Grandma Universe.

She wished Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina luck for the 65th Ms. Universe 2016 pageant held in Manila on Monday morning. Medina made it to the Top 6.
