MANILA – It seems that the organizers of Isabelle Duterte’s debut pulled out all the stops to make sure that the President’s granddaughter will have a luxurious celebration.

It’s been three days, but Filipinos are still talking about the lavish 18th birthday party of Isabelle last January 19 at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.

Every single detail of the event screamed luxury, from the debutante’s Michael Cinco gown to the event styling of Robert Blancaflor.

She even gave away prizes from the designer brand Hermes to the “best dressed” guests that night, as well as bottles of prosecco and handcrafted fragrances to other attendees.

Isabelle first drew controversy last December after having her pre-debut shoot in Malacañang.

The daughter of former Davao vice mayor Paolo Duterte became the subject of criticisms for flaunting luxury and choosing an “inappropriate” place for a photo shoot.

The Palace, however, said Isabelle did not violate Philippine laws and that she is like “any ordinary citizen” who would want to take photos inside Malacañang.

Isabelle is an aspiring actress and is handled by talent manager Annabelle Rama.
