MANILA - Pageant fans and visitors of Fort Santiago may have a chance to take selfies with at least 8 Miss Universe candidates who will have a photo shoot in Intramuros on Monday.

Fort Santiago will be open to tourists during the Miss Universe photo shoot here that is expected to happen between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m, an official from the Intramuros Administration who asked not to be identified told ABS-CBN News.

"There was no request from organizers to close it down (to the public)," source said.

At least 106 cops have been deployed to secure the area and the candidates, but were also told to let civilians take pictures provided they do not disrupt the activity.

"Sabi ng mga Miss Universe organizers, matapos lang po yung activity nila, they will most likely allow civilians to take photos or selfie dun sa mga kandidata," Task Unit Commander for Miss Universe in Manila Carlito Feliciano told ABS-CBN News.

Fort Santiago's centuries-old arch, the Rajah Sulayman theater, and the quaint brick and stone walls near the Rizal Shrine will be used as the backdrops of the photo shoot.
