MANILA – Katarina Rodriguez has left Manila to represent the Philippines in the Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant.

“Could not be any more excited to be representing not only myself but an entire country – my country – in this once-in-a-lifetime competition. Philippines, I love you,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday, which showed her holding the Philippine flag at the airport.

The Miss Intercontinental 2017 coronation night is set to be held at the Sunrise Grand Select Crystal Bay in Egypt on January 25.

The pageant was originally set for December 21 in Sri Lanka.
