MANILA - Foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations on Sunday released a joint communique that bared the regional bloc's stance on the demilitarization of the South China Sea, the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, and the global threat of extremism.
MANILA - Foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations on Sunday released a joint communique that bared the regional bloc's stance on the demilitarization of the South China Sea, the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, and the global threat of extremism.
Southeast Asia's top diplomats will meet with with their counterparts from the bloc's 17 dialogue partner states Monday afternoon at the ASEAN Regional Forum, a key security summit where representatives of the suspended six party talks - North Korea, South Korea, Japan, China, Russia, and the United States - are expected to have a heated discussion on the imposition of sanctions against Pyongyang.
