There isn't much you can do when your kids are keen on doing something, as actor James Blanco can attest to. Next April, he and his family will be flying to New Zealand to look for a place as they prepare to make the Pacific country their new home.

"Actually, sila (my kids) ang may gusto talaga na doon mag-aral," admitted Blanco when asked about his plans to move out of the Philippines. "Kami naman bilang magulang kung ano 'yung nakikita namin na bright future para sa mga anak mo 'yon lang naman 'yung iniisip namin."

Blanco, whose wife is a New Zealand citizen, said that he has long been thinking about living life in the South Pacific.

"Matagal ko nang kinokondisyon ang utak ko," he said.

"Siyempre hindi lang naman puwedeng 'yung sarili mo lang interes ang ikonsider mo, kailangan ding ikonsider na may anak ka. Pero sabi ko nga, kailangang puntahan muna namin, makita nila kung anong buhay doon. Kasi siyempre, hindi naman nila alam, nakikita lang nila sa picture o sa video. Eh, mamaya makita nila na malungkot pala."

Should their plans push through, Blanco said that he has no plans in abandoning his career as a local actor.

"Pag may trabaho ako, babalik ako ditto," he said. "Kung six months akong walang trabaho eh doon muna ako tapos balik ulit dito kapag mayroon na. Madali lang naman makauwi kapag may trabaho talaga."

Blanco is part of the upcoming comedy flick "Mang Kepweng Returns." S

tarring Vhong Navarro, it tells the story of a man who gets the kerchief and powers of Mang Kepweng, a quack village doctor-turned-superhero, originally portrayed by the late comedian Chiquito in 1979.
