MANILA -- Billy Crawford on Wednesday shared details of his engagement to girlfriend Coleen Garcia on "It's Showtime."

Crawford, who became close to Garcia on the noontime show, proposed to her on Tuesday night.

According to Crawford, he bought the engagement ring 18 months ago.

"Eighteen months akong naghintay sa kanya na ibigay ang singsing," he said. "I want it to be perfect kasi. I want it to be sure."

"Ang dami naming pinagdaanan. There's a lot of ups, there's a lot of downs pero 'yung na-realize ko lang ay ibang klase ang pagmamahal ng Panginoon. God really loves you and takes care of you, and He really decides everything. I really offer everything, kami ni Coleen, our relationship ino-offer ko. All in His perfect time."

He then promised to always love Garcia. "Coleen, I love you and I will be here for you until the time has gone na wala na ako sa buhay na ito," said Crawford, who also thanked his "It's Showtime" family for their support.

His co-hosts also got Garcia to talk about their engagement via phone patch and she admitted she was surprised by Crawford's proposal.

"Hindi pa nagsi-sink in," she said, adding that Crawford has been acting "weird" in the past few weeks.

"But thank you 'Showtime' family kasi you guys been there from the start till today."

Asked for her message to Crawford, Garcia said: "Love, thank you so much for doing everything you can to make me happy kasi ramdam na ramdam ko talaga 'yung effort every time you try to make me happy.

"I'm so happy and blessed that I'm going to marry the man of my dream. I love you."
