MANILA - Filipino fans of Korean pop music will be in for a treat this January 2018.

The 32nd Golden Disc Awards (GDA), one of South Korea's most prestigious music awards, will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 10 and 11, 2018.

All Access Production, one of the outfits behind the event, made the announcement on its official Facebook page.

This marks the first time the Philippines will host a Korean music awards show and the fourth time for the GDA to be staged overseas.

However, organizers did not announce which K-pop acts will fly in for the award show but said these will most likely be the nominees.

The GDA will soon announce its list of nominees for all the categories.

Nina Tay from All Access Production hinted that attendees will most likely be groups who debuted and actively promoted in 2017.

The award show will also feature various performances from participating groups.

The ticket prices for the GDA were also released (excluding ticket charges):

• P25,000 Golden Ticket (two-day pass)
• P12,000 SVIP
• P10,000 VIP
• P8,000 Lower Box
• P5,000 Upper Box
• P2,500 General Admission

Those who will avail the Golden Ticket will be given a chance to witness the red carpet event, which organizers said was usually held in private.

Pre-selling of tickets will be on November 26 at Eastwood City.

First held in 1986, the Golden Disc Awards is presented annually by the Music Industry Association of Korea for outstanding achievements in the South Korean music industry.
