Some 12,000 tickets, with prices ranging from S$78 to S$298, for Coldplay's concert in Singapore next year were sold within an hour. The tickets, intended for Citibank cardholders, were put on sale early Thursday, four days ahead of the planned general public sale on Monday.

In a report by the Strait Times, Live Nation Lushington managing director Michael Roche called the demand "unprecedented." He, however, added that some 26,000 tickets are still available over two days (on Sunday for another presale and on Monday).
