MANILA -- Eights months after she moved to the Kapamilya network, Jonalyn "Jona" Viray on Monday inked a two-year contract with Star Music.

In a press conference after the contract signing, Jona expressed her excitement as the newest artist of ABS-CBN's recording arm.

"I'm very happy and na feel ko talaga na mas inspired ako to do my work here in ABS-CBN. Parang nag-umpisa na po lahat ang pangyayari," Viray told ABS-CBN News and other members of entertainment media.

Jona said part of her contract is the release of a new album, which will be coming out "very, very soon."

Jona admitted that she enjoyed her first eight months as a Kapamilya artist and is looking forward for more projects, describing her stint so far as "very colorful."

"Ang dami kong first time na nagawa since I transferred sa ABS-CBN. Nag-cover ako ng theme song (ng series). First time sa 'ASAP' stage, first TFC with Ma'am Charo Santos-Concio in Spain. First time din (gumawa ng) Star Cinema theme song for Kathryn at Daniel movie. First time nakasama sa 'ASAP Live In New York,'" cited Jona, who also joined the songwriting contest Himig Handog for the first time.

Jona, who is a member of ASAP's Birit Queens, is also preparing for her upcoming solo concert "Queen of the Night: Jona" on November 25 at KIA Theater.

"Siyempre ang iti-treat ko ay 'yung fans ko talaga na hindi bumitaw na nandito pa din sila," she said.

Joining Jona as special guests are Daryl Ong, Jed Madela and her good friend Regine Velasquez under the musical direction of Soc Mina. The concert will be directed by Marvin Caldito.
