MANILA - The first official trailer for "The Unmarried Wife" starring Angelica Panganiban and Dingdong Dantes has revealed major plot points for the upcoming Star Cinema film.

For one, the clip reveals that Geoff (Dantes) and Panganiban (Anne) were a picture of a happy couple (e.g. they had their dream wedding, raised a kid) before things quickly went downhill. Having discovered that her husband is a serial cheater, Anne finds herself in a complicated mess, and struggles with her decision on whether to stay in the marriage for commitment's sake, or leave.

She soon meets Bryan (Paulo Avelino), whom she falls in love with, leading to even more confusion for her.

According to award-winning movie director Maryo J. De Los Reyes, in an earlier interview with ABS-CBN News, his newest feature is an "important" one as it aims to incite discussion among Filipinos about divorce, adultery, and other similar taboo topics.
