MANILA - The wife of Dick Israel has passed away, according to actress Vivian Velez, less than a week after the celebrated character actor died.

Marlyn Michaca was said to have been in a comatose for two weeks due to aneurysm.

Velez added that the planned cremation for Israel on Sunday has been moved to Tuesday.

"The family has decided to extend the wake together with his wife Marlyn Michaca for two more days and will be cremated together," Velez said in a Facebook post. "Now, in each other's arms for eternity."

Israel passed away last October 11, months after a fire hit his family's house, which destroyed almost everything he had worked for in his long showbiz career.

Israel suffered a stroke in 2010 that left half of his body paralyzed and affected his speech. His wake is being held at the St. Peter Memorial Chapel in Araneta Avenue, Quezon City.
