When Gonzaga first announced her pregnancy back in April, many were excited for her and her director-husband. The two, who had been together for eight years before getting married in June 2015, had said that starting a family would be one of their priorities.

"I'm so happy that finally our love story ay nagbunga na, and yes, God finally opened my womb and I'm expecting my first child," Gonzaga said as she confirmed her rumored pregnancy in an episode of "ASAP."

For his part, Soriano, in an interview with Pep, similarly expressed his excitement and revealed his would-be "protective" parenting style.

"Well, I think I'm definitely gonna be as protective as I can. I wanna give my son a lot of freedom also to exercise his own creativity, his own voice. I'll do my best to guide him, to give him the tools that he needs to be successful as possible," he said.
