MANILA – Ellen Adarna admitted she initially wanted to back out of “The Greatest Love” when she learned that she will be playing the role of a young Gloria, who is currently portrayed by veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez.

“Naiyak ako, Miss (Sylvia Sanchez). Hirap maging young version mo. Muntik nako mag-back out nung nalaman ko ikaw si mader. Di ko kinaya sobrang na challenge ako,” she said.

Adarna then said in jest that it all makes sense now why she was sent an acting coach when she was still preparing for the series.

Speaking in Bisaya, Adarna expressed her admiration for Sanchez, saying she wants to be as good as her when it comes to acting.

Adarna likewise thanked ABS-CBN for giving her the opportunity to be part of “The Greatest Love.”

Adarna first appeared on “The Greatest Love” on Monday opposite actor Ejay Falcon, her leading man in the former ABS-CBN series “Pasion de Amor.”

"The Greatest Love" airs in the afternoon on ABS-CBN from Monday to Friday.
