MANILA – Maymay Entrata was unable to stop herself from praising her idol, actress Liza Soberano, for being very humble and down to earth despite her popularity.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News last Friday, Entrata said she appreciated Soberano’s gesture of dropping by her dressing room just to ask how she’s been doing lately.

Entrata said Soberano also asked about her launching movie “Loving in Tandem” which also stars Edward Barber, Kisses Delavin and Marco Gallo.

“Sabi niya proud siya sa amin. Nagpasalamat ako sa tulong niya, sa mga payo niya sa pag-aarte dahil kami po ay baguhan. Sinabi ko sa kanya na hindi ako titigil sa pagiging supporter sa kanilang dalawa ni Sir (Enrique Gil) dahil sila 'yung isa sa mga inspirasyon ko kung bakit ako nandito. Kung kaya nila, kaya rin namin,” she said.

Entrata said she applied the acting tips Soberano told her back when the actress visited them while they were still inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” house.

“Hindi ko makakalimutan 'yung sinabi niya sa akin na hangga’t wala pa 'yung emosyon, huwag na huwag ka magsisimula. Nagamit ko po iyon. Talagang nag-take time ako na pumasok sa karakter ko at kunin yung tamang emosyon bago ako magsimula. Sobrang effective po siya,” she said.

Calling Soberano her role model, Entrata said the actress deserves her success because she has a good heart.

“Alam ko na kung bakit siya big star—dahil ganito siya. Pinakamalaking rason ay kung sino siya. Tinutulungan niya yung mga baguhan. Hindi siya yung taong hindi namamansin kasi big star na siya. Hindi siya ganun,” she said.

“Loving in Tandem” is slated to be released in theaters nationwide on September 13.
