MANILA - Actress Solenn Heussaff has tested negative for illegal drugs, a document made public Thursday showed.

This is amid President Rodrigo Duterte's intensified crackdown against illegal drugs, prompting celebrities such as Patrick Garcia and Luis Manzano to undergo drug testing for methamphetamine (shabu) and tetrahydrocannabinol (marijuana).

Kapamilya stars James Reid and Anne Curtis, a close friend of Heussaff, also underwent drug tests after tabloid reports linking their names to the use of illegal drugs surfaced. Both tested negative.

Leo Dominguez of LVD Management & Consultancy Services, the talent agency of Heussaff, released to Push the actress' laboratory test results in support of the government's drug war.

"This is also to inform the public of Solenn's beliefs of clean and healthy living," Dominguez said. "Solenn practices in what she believes in, which is to live a healthy and productive lifestyle, this includes her position against the use of prohibited and illegal drugs."

Like Curtis, Heussaff also underwent a drug test last Tuesday at the Makati City branch of Hi-Precision Diagnostics, a medical laboratory licensed by the Department of Health and accredited with the Dangerous Drugs Board.
