MANILA - Television host Boy Abunda on Thursday denied speculations that he is no longer the manager of his good friend Kris Aquino amid rumors that the host-actress is leaving ABS-CBN to transfer to another network.

"Hindi totoo," Abunda said at the launch of his latest endorsement for watch brand Technomarine Cruise Medusa.

"Ang hindi lang ako makakapag-comment ay dito sa kanyang pinasok na relasyon with Mr. Tony Tuviera. Ako ay nahihiya dahil walang nagsasalita. Si Kris is not talking, si Tony is not talking, ABS-CBN is not saying anything. Why would I?" he shared, referring to the big boss at TAPE Inc., which is affiliated with GMA-7.

Asked if Aquino asked for his blessing, Abunda said: "Ang masasabi ko ay sila ay nag-usap siguro. I'm not privy to many things. Sa palagay ko sila ay nag-usap-usap. How extensive were the discussions the dialogues hindi ko alam."

"Hindi siya nagpaalam, hindi naman kami naghiwalay," added Abunda, who clarified that he will continue to represent Aquino in her endorsements.

Abunda also stressed that he and Aquino have remained friends.

"Wala kaming pagbabago sa aming relasyon ni Kris, kami pa din. I still do her contracts, walang nababago. Nag-uusap pa din araw-araw," he said.

Last month Aquino asked for respect amid speculations about her network transfer.

The actress, who has kept mum on reports that she will leave ABS-CBN, said she is praying that her fans will respect her decision.

Aquino, who has been with ABS-CBN for 22 years, decided to take a break from showbiz last March to prioritize her family and health.
